Monarch Butterfly

I created this card for my sister in law's birthday. Using Monarch from Ching Chou Kuik, I absolutely love this new bundle release. Colored her with copics, cut her out with a spellbinder die cut and sponged the edges. The gorgeous paper is from BoBunny Butterfly Kisses Collection. Embellished the card with thick twine from CTMH, a flower and leaf svg file from iHeart Studio (white paper painted with Green Patina perfect peals), added a daisy and a butterfly from my stash.

I would love to enter this card into the following challenges.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #387

Good morning friends,
Today I'm sharing sketch: #348 that we are revisiting (Melissa's favorite)

Our sponsor this week is Tuesday Morning Sketches.
And here's my card.

Do you love this cupcake? I got it as a freebie from Alyce at Kit and Clowder. Alyce also did a video tutorial and shows how to color this cutie up. My darkest pink was really juicy so the icing is a little darker than I had wanted.

Please join us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches and also check out what the rest of the design team has created.

Happy Birthday Ching-Chou Kuik

To celebrate Ching-Chou Kuik's birthday her fabulous team on Facebook is doing a mini challenge for the month of January. The challenge is to create a tag using this fabulous image called Magic Wish. If you interested in joining the challenge click here

The base of my tag is a size 5 black tag from Ranger. My friend Sara has started doing Workshop Wednesday's over on Faery Ink's website and I've used this weeks technique on this tag. Dusting perfect pearls through a stencil. I used bubbles stencil from Tim Holtz. Using perfect pearls Green Patina, Blue Patina and Jubilee Blue to create the Ombre look. To finish off the tag I added some mesh ribbon, a metal star fish from my stash and a couple sequins.

World Wide Open Design Team Challenge 18

World Wide Open Design Team

I'm thrilled to share this mix media project with you.  This canvas is going to be hung beside my night stand. I've used the amazing image called Steampunk Heart from Julia Spiri which you can purchase here.

Last year our dear friend Alyce over at Kit and Clowder released a mixed media class. I was lucky enough to receive the class and the package with embellishments as a gift from my hubby. The class includes three different canvases and so much information about all the products used in mixed media. If you are interested in learning, I highly recommend Alyce.

Supplies used: A snowy Christmas napkin is my base for this canvas, then I added some gesso over a couple of stencils, Tim Holtz tissue, lots of chipboard, metal gears, flowers, buttons all covered with gesso, inka gold and some have bits of Stampendous shabby white embossing powder (with gold glitter)

I'm so happy with how this canvas turned out and can't wait for it to be hung in our freshly painted master bedroom.

DT Call for Flowers, Feathers and Fairies

Hi friends,

Have you seen on facebook that Sabrina at Flowers, Feathers and Fairies is holding a design team call? I'm so excited to have an opportunity to apply for the team. I was first introduced to Sabrina's store last September when I received a free image called Rosie. Here's a link to my version of Rosie. I loved coloring her up and also fell in love with the rest of the collection.

Today's project is a card that has been in my mind for a long time. I purchased a 6 1/2" paper pad from Kaiser Craft called Boho Dreams.
Image result for kaisercraft boho dreams
It's gorgeous paper filled with lace, denim, wood and DREAM CATCHERS!!!! Imagine my excitement when I received the paper and saw that Sabrina had a girl image called feathers, Perfect match for what I had in mind.
At first I wanted to showcase the dream catcher paper but it wasn't showing up well with the colored image, so I decided to cut one out, sponge indian corn blue ink onto the edges and use it as an embellishment. The kraft background paper is hand stamped feathers with versamark ink, copper embossing powder from Stampin Up, after that was cooled I inked up the edges again with versamark ink and added some shabby white embossing powder (chunky embossing powder with gold glitter!) Added the sentiment from the paper pack and some triandle studs from Close to my heart to finish off this card.

The design team call ends this Sunday so if you have a chance to apply please do!!!!!

TMS #385

Good Morning TMS friends!  This week we are again revisiting on of our favorite sketches.

Tuesday Morning Sketches is sponsoring this week's challenge.

Sketch: #362 revisited (Debbie's favorite)

My version of the sketch this time around is a bit different. I flipped the sketch.
Supplies used:
Copics
Stitched rectangle die cuts, Close to my heart paper, slate grey ink and sponged ink into Tim Holtz Bubble stencil on the pink rectangle and also the black chevron banner had a really bright white so I sponged there too. The image I used is called Coffee Emo Digi from Simply Betty Stamps I was lucky enough to see the post and joined the monthly progressive challenge in Betty's facebook group. She gave all of her fans a clean slate for the new year. Each month an image is emailed out and you must create a project with the image and post it online in order to receive the next months image.  I can't wait to see what's sent in February.
