Tuesday Morning Sketches #392

Good morning friends,

Today is Tuesday and here is this weeks sketch.

Tuesday Morning Sketches will be sponsoring - we have another cute stamp set to give away.

Now to share a bit about my card. Yesterday my son was invited to his second birthday party that was just him. (usually he's a tag along with his big sister and her friends) Now that he's in Kindergarten he's really coming out of his shy little shell and becoming a wonderful friend.

So I created a wonderful card using a Star Wars character digi stamp, it was so cool but in the rush of getting him to write on the card and to the party in time I forgot to take a photo! Argh! When I realized my error I didn't have enough time to recreate the coloring so I dug out some other stamps and created this outer space birthday card.

This sketch will be used again for some quick birthday cards. Seems like each weekend we have a party to attend...

Tuesday Morning Sketches #396

Good Morning Friends,

Another fabulous sketch for you to play with this week.
And I've created another male birthday card using snippets of paper left over from a scrapbooking layout.

Class and beauty

February Progressive Challenge for Simply B Stamps.

Challenge: Using the Lucinda Image make a Pastel Goth Project! This means use one, two, or three, or more Pastel colors and black ON YOUR IMAGE and on your project. No you do not have to use all colors, just one pastel and black will do, but you can use as many pastel colors with the added black as you wish.

The image this month is called Lucinda and you can buy her here. With her you receive the image with and without a mirror behind her and the sentiment. I used the image without the mirror as I knew I wanted to mat her on this fancy spellbinder shape.

My boy is in karate and part of the message from Sensi each class is to "Never ever give up!' I sure practise that with this card. My cricut was not working well and ended up cutting my image a bit off. In order to save the image, I matted on black card stock as you could see parts of the shadow remaining after the cut was completed. Next set back was embellishments... I knew I wanted to used green/teal and purple pastel colors for the challenge but couldn't find any in my stash or at the store today. So I dug out some ivory flowers and used a combo of copics and versa magic chalk ink.

I would love to add this card into the following challenges.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you like what I shared today.

Eliza's Flower Swing

Good Morning Friends,

Today I'm here to share my first inspirational post for Flowers, Feathers and Fairies. If you are on Facebook we would love to have you join our group. Here's the link.

The image I'm showcasing today is called Eliza's Flower Swing. This was Sabrina's first digi and I'm so happy to share this with you.

The card base, frame, tree, leaves (hearts) and the cloud is cut out with my Cricut using a cut called Valentines Day Mailbox Scene from the Cartridge called Dimensional Scenes XOXO. I did a bunch of editing to remove the layers I didn't need and replace them with the colored image using copics.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Crafty Gals Challenge 110 - Use your favorite things (Cricut and Copics)

Good Morning Friends,

I have an exciting new release to share with you today from Flowers, Feathers and Fairies called Elf Huntress. You can visit Flowers, Feathers and Fairies blog to see the rest of the design teams creations. She's stunning and perfect to create a Valentine's Day card for my hubby who is a bow hunter.

I've colored her with copics, used a couple spellbinder dies to cut her out with the dk olive green border. Added some Liquid Glass to the heart and arrow and wink of stella on the bow and arrows. Hope it's not to sparkly for my hubby.

I would love to enter this card into the following challenges.
